- Open Microsoft Outlook
- Click on the menu tab Tools and select Account Settings from the drop down list.
- On the Account Settings pop up window, select the E-mail tab and click on New below.
- Select the option Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click on Next.
- At the bottom of the pop up window select the option Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click on Next.
- Select the option Internet E-mail and click on Next.
- Fill in the following information:
- Your Name: the associated name for the email address you are configuring
- Email Address: The email address you are configuring
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: ano.altokom.net
- Outgoing server (SMTP): ano.altokom.net
- Username: the email address you are configuring
- Password: password associated with the email account
- Click on More Settings.
- Select the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check My outging server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Change the port of the Incoming server to 993 and select the option This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
- Change the port of the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 465 and select the option Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL.
- Click Ok at the bottom of the pop up window.
- Click on Test Account Settings to confirm that the account is able to send and receive mail.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Finish.
